- Cloud Platform Experience: 5+ years with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): 5+ years with tools like Terraform or Ansible
- Service Mesh Experience: Familiarity with service mesh technologies, such as Istio
- GitOps Practices: Experience with GitOps methodologies
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sr Technical Product Owner to join our Container Platform Team. This role involves end-to-end product ownership, focusing on the development, enhancement, and alignment of our container platform with business needs and strategy. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in containers, Kubernetes, Docker, telemetry, and basic networking, alongside experience as a Scrum Master. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets performance, reliability, and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, and backlog to deliver optimal value.
- Collaboration & Feature Prioritization: Work with development, operations, and business stakeholders to prioritize and define product features.
- Agile Management: Oversee the sprint backlog, conduct agile ceremonies, and ensure successful product increment deliveries.
- Technical Guidance: Provide support to the development team, leveraging expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and networking.
- Telemetry Management: Implement and manage telemetry solutions to optimize platform performance and reliability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for product-related queries, ensuring clear and timely updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Gather and analyze user and stakeholder feedback to drive enhancements and foster innovation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product management or related roles, with a focus on container platforms.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in containers, Kubernetes, Docker, and basic networking.
- Telemetry & Monitoring: Experience with telemetry solutions and monitoring tools.
- Agile Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent.
- Communication & Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on delivering high-quality products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Kubernetes Certification: CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- IaC Tools: Terraform or Ansible.
- Service Mesh: Familiarity with Istio.
