Role/Title: Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Sacramento, CA (Remote Allowed)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in developing and implementing technical solutions that mitigate security vulnerabilities in cloud environments. If you have a strong foundation in cloud architecture, network encryption, scripting, and security automation, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years in security-focused technical solution development and implementation.
• Education: Bachelor’s in IT-related or Engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• Cloud Expertise: 5+ years in cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, and CASB solutions.
• Coding and Automation: 3+ years with configuration/infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShellDSC, GIT).
• Networking & Encryption: 7+ years, including VPNs, IPsec, SSL/TLS, LDAP, and PKI.
• Scripting: 5+ years with Python, PowerShell, and bash.
• Threat Intelligence: 2+ years in production environments.
• Security Operations: 5+ years in incident response, vulnerability management, and hardening.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: 5+ years in cross-functional team environments.
• Access Management: 3+ years with MS EntraID (Azure AD), AWS IAM, and RBAC.
• Automation: 3+ years automating security tasks using APIs and cloud frameworks.
• DevSecOps Integration: 3+ years in integrating security into DevOps pipelines.
• Frameworks & Zero Trust: Familiarity with NIST, CSF, ISO 27000, MITRE, and Zero Trust models (3+ years).
• Certifications: At least two certifications from MS Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security, CompTIA Cloud+, Security+, CCSP, or GIAC Cloud Security Automation.
