Title: SAP FICO Consultant with Retail Experience

Contract: W2 AND C2C

Location: Ohio, Mostly Remote ( 80% remote) with occasional Travel to Client place

Duration: Long Term

 Visa: Preferable GC or USC  ( Alternative option: TN Visa)
 
Mandatory experience with RRB Resource Related Billing
The ideal candidate should be familiar with migration activities, LTMC, and the 'Migrate Your Data' application.
Experience with ABAP debugging, interfaces, and SAP PS, including DIP profiling, would be an advantage.
 
Position Summary: An SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) Consultant with retail experience is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP FICO module tailored to the specific requirements of retail businesses. This role bridges finance processes and technology to optimize financial performance, reporting, and operational efficiency within the retail sector.
 
Primary Skills
 
SAP FICO Implementation and Configuration:
 
Configure SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO).
Customize SAP processes to align with the financial requirements of the retail industry, ensuring integration with other SAP modules like SAP Retail, MM, and SD.
Design and manage configurations for retail-specific functions such as pricing, promotions, and point-of-sale data integration.
Experience interfacing SAP with POS systems, Billing Systems
Experience with Tax bolt on systems such as Vertex
Business Process Analysis:
 
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to financial operations in a retail environment.
Analyze existing finance processes and recommend solutions for streamlining, automation, and improved compliance.
Map business requirements to SAP FICO capabilities and identify necessary customizations or enhancements.
Compliance and Risk Management:
 
Ensure that SAP FICO processes comply with local and international accounting standards and financial regulations.
Work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and respond to audit queries.
Integration and Collaboration:
 
Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and other module consultants (e.g., SAP MM, SD) to ensure seamless integration across the system.
Support data migration activities related to financial information during system upgrades or transitions.
Qualifications:
 
Experience: Minimum 12+ years of SAP FICO consulting, with at least 2 years in the retail industry.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and controlling processes.
Proven expertise in SAP configuration and customization specific to retail finance.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications is a plus.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile or Waterfall).
Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
 
Certification in SAP FICO or related modules.
Knowledge of retail operations and experience integrating with POS systems.
Familiarity with financial reporting tools such as SAP Analytics
Familiarity with Interfaces to/from SAP.
