Opening / Selling Statement : Our client is seeking a Sr Level Java engineer for engineering and delivery microservices and API's to support Customer Data. The team supports various mid-layer services across the organization and to external partners and is seeking a strong Java Engineer with cloud experience. Best qualified candidates will have strong experiences in Java 8+, Cloud, Containerization, Data Streaming, and Agile/Scrum.

Job Duties –
- Be an active participant in all scrum ceremonies and lead in the delivery of the strategic roadmap.
- Help define project scope & specifications, and estimate resources required to develop the proposed solution.
- Ensure that specifications and requirements are clearly articulated to the development teams and monitor timelines & progress.
- Propose technical solutions.
- Delivery of well-designed, high-quality, fully functional, properly tested features, fixes, and enhancements.
- Responsible for the full application development lifecycle and support.
- Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
- Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance.
- Provide subject matter expertise and direction, guidance, and support on complex engagements.
Job Requirements –
- 7+ years of engineering
- 6+ years’ experience with Java8
- 4+ years’ experience with Springboot
- 3+ years’ experience with Containers (Docker and orchestration, ie: Kubernetes or EKS or Redhat)
- Strong understanding of HTTP/REST and OpenAPI docs
- Experienced with at least one testing framework (jbehave, cucumber, selenium, junit) is required
- Experienced with Agile/Scrum methodologies (backlog refinement, standups, retrospective)
