Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Lead Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a comprehensive understanding of Cisco Firepower Firewall and a strong knowledge of protecting data. As a Senior Lead Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices. You will need to possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Cisco Firepower firewalls and advanced network security systems in large-scale enterprise environments.
Provide expert-level knowledge and support for Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Firepower Management Center (FMC).
Configure and manage Cisco ASA, FTD, and FMC platforms proficiently.
Troubleshoot issues with the upgrade process for FTD and FMC.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Stay up to date with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing Cisco Firepower firewalls and advanced network security systems in large-scale enterprise environments.
Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Firepower Management Center (FMC).
Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco ASA, FTD, and FMC platforms.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
Proficiency in troubleshooting issues with the upgrade process for FTD and FMC.
Continuous learning mindset, staying up to date with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with network security architectures, including DMZs, VPNs, and segmentation.
Knowledge of high availability and failover configurations for network security appliances.
Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Splunk, ELK stack).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating network tasks and configurations.
Understanding of security compliance frameworks and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and communicate progress effectively.
