Job Title: Android Lead
Location: St. Louis, MO (Onsite – 5 days a week)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Android Lead with over 10 years of expertise in core Android development (Native). This role involves leading the architecture and implementation of a project currently undergoing a significant rewrite. The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in coding but also excel in mentoring, code reviews, and managing the development process to ensure high-quality delivery from the offshore team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Leadership: Design and implement robust architectural patterns for Android applications, with a focus on MVI architecture and Jetpack Compose.
• Code Review & Management: Conduct thorough code reviews and manage pull requests to maintain code quality and best practices.
• Troubleshooting & Defect Resolution: Independently troubleshoot issues and resolve defects, ensuring smooth application functionality.
• Offshore Coordination: Collaborate with and oversee offshore development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation by exploring new tools and technologies and applying them to enhance the development process.
• Web-Based Application Development: Work on web-based applications and contribute to various aspects of application development beyond just coding.
• Mentorship: Guide junior developers and provide technical direction to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of core Android development experience (Native applications only).
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MVI architecture, Jetpack Compose, Android Studio, JIRA, GIT lab, and CI/CD practices.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex challenges with a tech-savvy mindset and a creative approach to solutions.
• End-to-End Development: Proven track record of developing applications from scratch to deployment, with at least one personal app developed.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
