AWS Data Engineers (Onshore person will be AWS only)
Location: Phoenix AZ (Onsite)

Job Summary: As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data processing systems in the AWS environment. You will work closely with data architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the efficient handling and utilization of data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to ingest and transform data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
- Utilize AWS services (e.g., AWS Glue, Lambda, Kinesis) to build robust data pipelines.
- Data Modeling and Storage:
- Implement effective data models to support analytics and reporting.
- Optimize data storage solutions using AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, and RDS.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize data processing and storage performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in data engineering.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain documentation related to data pipelines, processes, and workflows.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into data processing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on AWS services.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift) and data lakes (e.g., AWS S3).
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL tools, and data integration techniques.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
