General Description:
The Sr. Configuration Analyst will analyze business and clinical processes and provide configuration solutions relative to available and new functionality within supported applications. They will provide options to create efficiencies through supported applications and offer technical and application subject matter expertise to deliver solutions to business partners.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement business and system solutions to meet customer needs and requirements, including project design, application configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Perform analysis of processes, procedures, and practices in the department or assigned area, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Serve as an IT liaison with business process owners and management to modify and design business process solutions.
  • Manage system upgrades, including analysis of release notes, application configuration, test planning and execution, and business readiness.
  • Perform analysis of business requirements and transform them into configuration coding requirements.
  • Perform system testing of configuration setup.
  • Review and perform quality assurance (QA) of system fixes, patches, and updates to ensure current fix levels are maintained.
  • Maintain system operations, reference manuals, and documentation for all supported systems.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, reviews, and inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Job Requirements:

  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Experience with the configuration of Health Edge’s Health Rules Payor and Health Rules Care Manager, and McKesson’s ClaimsXTen systems.
    • Experience with application configuration of other core administrative processing systems is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.
    • Experience executing project and system enhancements and upgrades.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, used with internal and external clients.
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Access, and other database applications.
    • Ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    • 8+ years of progressive experience in application configuration centered around health insurance payer and medical management systems.
    • 8+ years of system and project implementation experience.
