Job Description:
This front-end React/Redux developer role supports the ongoing enhancement of banner.com “site building” components managed by our Content Management System. This role will participate in the discovery and implementation of new CMS powered assets and components. The “site building” components are key to our merchandizing strategy support online sales and promotion cycles. This team supports our content stakeholders who manage the sales and promotion strategy for Kroger’s Home Page, Department Pages, Our Brand pages, and several seasonal pages.
Typical Duties:
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product management to determine technical feasibility of proposed work
• Develop and support multi-banner UI/UX CMS-powered React assets
• Enhance existing codebases with new features and resolve technical debt
• Integrate analytics into assets for business measurement
• Partner with QA engineers to ensure functional testing coverage
• Work within a Scrum/Kanban framework to deliver projects effectively
Requirements:
• 5+ years of front-end experience developing enterprise-scale websites using React
• Strong knowledge of React, Jest/Enzyme, TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SASS
• Ability to evaluate and scope solutions to meet current and future business needs
• Experience calling APIs, working with JSON data, and building layouts and components in React
• Familiarity with Scrum/Kanban or other software development methodologies
Nice to Have:
• Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members in engineering roles
• Experience integrating analytics planning into new and existing assets for business measurement
• Ability to partner with QA engineers to support functional testing frameworks
• Experience working in large-scale, multi-team environments supporting e-commerce goals
