Job description:
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in modern vulnerability management tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7).
- Experience in planning, scheduling, implementing, and maintaining vulnerability scans.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Data Analysis and Scripting:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Power BI, Tableau).
- Ability to handle large datasets, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interface with internal and external auditors and stakeholders.
Experience:
- Previous experience in vulnerability management or IT security.
- Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with compliance standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Data Analysis and Scripting:
- Experience with data scripting for automation.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with IT security specialists, managers, and other agencies.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis.
- Adaptability to changing security threats and tools.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
