Role : Sr Data Engineer
Location : Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Duration : Long Term contract
Job Description:-
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or other equivalent degree.
- 8+ years data engineering experience or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or other equivalent degree with 2+ years data engineering preferred.
- High school diploma or GED is required. Requires 2+ years’ experience in the design, implementation and support of full life-cycle data engineering projects.
- Experience in event driven and cloud based architectures and working knowledge of containerization and streaming technologies. Detailed work experience on Oracle, Single Store or IBM I DB2 database, SQL & PL/SQL, including ANSI SQL.
- Experience in database analysis, development and maintenance of business applications specific to oil & gas back-office operations. Expertise in various ETL tools such as SQL*Loader, Equalum, Python scripts.
- Familiarity with No-SQL databases and pipelines (Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
- We have 2 new openings, both of them senior database developers, who have experience with db2 database development.
- New req: Most of the db2 developers typically have experience in RPG programming, we would prefer someone who has done SQL coding in the db2 environment.
- The version we are on is IBM iSeries.
- Any other modern programming language such as python coding would be a big plus.
- If possible, 3 days in the office, we are open to remote also, if they are a senior resource and check all the boxes.
