The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in complex environments. This role will require a deep understanding of DevOps practices, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code, ensuring that software delivery processes are fast, reliable, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and maintain efficient, secure, and scalable CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless software delivery.
Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to implement DevOps best practices.
Build, monitor, and optimize CI/CD workflows, focusing on automation, reliability, and performance.
Integrate tools for continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
Oversee infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Ensure automated security checks, code quality gates, and performance monitoring are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
Work closely with software engineers to troubleshoot pipeline issues and ensure smooth software releases.
Implement robust version control and branching strategies to support parallel development and multiple environments.
Advocate and drive improvements to the release management process, including automated rollback mechanisms and canary deployments.
Mentor and lead junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices in CI/CD and DevOps.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline management and DevOps.
Proficient in tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps for building and automating pipelines.
Strong expertise in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Groovy for pipeline automation.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or Grafana.
Solid understanding of source control management and versioning systems such as Git.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and how CI/CD fits into agile frameworks.
Experience working in large, distributed systems with complex environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and mentor teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with microservices and serverless architectures.
Strong focus on security practices within CI/CD pipelines, such as vulnerability scanning and automated compliance checks.
Knowledge of performance optimization and scalability for large-scale deployments.
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
