Job Description.              

Skill Set and Administrative skills:

SAS Platform & Linux/Unix Servers. Project Management Tools: ServiceNow (SNOW)Cloud Services: AWS (IaaS, PasS & SaaS)Shell Scripting: BASH, SH.

Databases: MySQL, Postgres, Hive & Impala. Operating Systems: RedHat Linux

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Hands-on experience on performing SAS administrative tasks such as installing and configuring SAS software on the client servers, applying licenses, Hotfixes and Patching.

Expertise in provisioning and setting up user & group profiles, creating Data Libraries on the SAS Metadata server using SAS Management Console.

Skilled at working on the migration project (On Prem to Cloud & Cloud Native).

Expertise in providing ON-CALL support during application critical P1/P2 Incidents troubleshooting.

Skilled at troubleshooting manual & scheduled SAS Job Failures on the Linux Server.

Hands-on experience on configuring and maintaining Enterprise Linux/Unix servers.

Expertise in installing and configuring ODBC Drivers and Data source connections at user level and server level on the RedHat Linux servers.

Responsible for handling service Change Tasks, Request Tasks and Incidents.

Responsible for Job scheduling on several application accounts and monitoring critical jobs on RedHat systems.

Responsible for execution of IQs, OQs and other application Data Loads through Application Lifecycle Management Tool.

Responsible for application configuration changes and deployments.

Provisioning servers, maintenance, hardening and performance tuning of all SAS servers which includes AWS cloud and On-Premises servers.

Responsible for File System (NFS and LVMs) configurations, necessary clean-ups and directory setup and monitoring.

Experience in Writing Shell scripts to automate the process and improve efficiency as well as platform availability.

Involved in the management of major process areas and process adherence and service delivery.

Responsible for recovering several applications with-in the given RTO on yearly Disaster Recovery (DR).Skilled at troubleshooting manual & scheduled SAS Job Failures on the Linux Server.

Provide day-to-day Tier 3 level operational support including responding to incidents, troubleshooting, and executing corrective actions.

Assisting Tier 2 support with after action reports such as Root Cause Analysis Reports, to include researching potential incident.

(1.) To be responsible for providing technical guidance or solutions ;define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team.

(2.) To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity

(3.) To ensure process compliance in the assigned module, and participate in technical discussions or review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).

(4.) To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
