Job Title: QA Engineer Automated

Location: Remote

Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform software quality assurance, testing, and support for social services applications.

  • Develop and execute test plans and scenarios for various web-based J2EE/Portal applications.

  • Participate in requirements analysis, test design, and test data preparation.

  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve project goals and troubleshoot software applications.

  • Create technical and design documentation as necessary.

  • Utilize contemporary testing methods to ensure the proper functioning of applications.

  • Provide technical support for testing and implementation.

  • Participate in design, coding, and test walk-through meetings to align on technical standards and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in the software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies.

  • 8 years of experience and knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems, IT equipment, programming languages, and computer hardware/software.

  • 8 years of experience in analyzing requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and creating test plans and scenarios.

  • 8 years of experience analyzing software applications, identifying defects, and resolving business problems with innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with tools such as HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Katalon, HP LoadRunner, SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Product Portfolio Management (PPM), SQL, and XML.

  • 3 years of experience working with Agile principles and methodologies.

  • 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance (manual or automated testing) using tools like UFT, SoapUI, Selenium, ALM, PPM, JIRA, JAMA, and PLSQL.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of programming and testing concepts, especially within Web-based UI applications.

  • Ability to analyze software applications and defects, drawing evidence-based conclusions.

  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining test plans and technical documentation.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet project goals.

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or management information systems is strongly preferred.
