Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and optimization of our data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be to help build and refine our Performance Data Program by developing SQL queries, working with ETL tools, leveraging Python for automation and data processing, and learning cutting-edge data technologies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in data engineering, contribute to impactful projects, and collaborate closely with other data professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

· SQL Development: Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes.

· Python Scripting: Utilize Python for data manipulation, automation, and integration of data engineering workflows.

· ETL Processes: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to move and transform data from multiple sources into our data warehouse or other storage solutions.

· Data Modeling & Movement: Support the implementation of best practices in data modeling, ensuring efficient data movement and storage across databases, data lakes, or cloud platforms.

· Performance Data Program: Collaborate with team members to build and continuously improve our Performance Data Program, focusing on data reliability, accessibility, and scalability.

· Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure the seamless integration and transformation of data for business insights.

· Learning & Development: Stay current with emerging data technologies and trends, and participate in ongoing training to build proficiency in advanced data engineering tools and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

· Experience:

o Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on SQL development, data pipelines, or similar tasks.

o Experience in developing and optimizing SQL queries for extracting and transforming large datasets.

o Experience with C#  Python, especially for data manipulation, automation, and working with APIs.

o Exposure to ETL practices, understanding the process of extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources.

o Basic understanding of databases and data movement, including concepts such as relational databases, cloud storage, or data warehouses.

· Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in SQL and an understanding of query optimization techniques.

o Strong skills in Python for building automation scripts, processing data, and integrating with ETL processes.

o Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g.SSIS).

o Knowledge of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and basic data architecture.

· Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus):

· Experience working with PI Integrator.

· Experience with Power Apps, Power Platform, Microsoft Forms

· Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI.

· Basic programming experience in other languages like C#, building RESTful APIs
