Key Responsibilities:
- SSIS Development:
- Design, develop, and implement SSIS packages to automate and streamline the new hire process.
- Integrate web services and REST APIs into SSIS packages to facilitate data exchange and process automation.
- Error Handling and Logging:
- Implement robust error handling and trapping mechanisms within SSIS packages to ensure reliability and data integrity.
- Set up detailed logging to monitor package execution and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Database Architecture:
- Develop an understanding of the existing database architecture to ensure seamless integration and data flow within the SSIS packages.
- Perform DB object creation and maintenance, including writing and executing DDL scripts as needed.
- PowerShell Integration:
- Utilize PowerShell within SSIS packages to automate changes in Active Directory as part of the new hire process.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support and enhance automation workflows.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the automation needs.
- Document SSIS package designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and developing complex ETL solutions.
Strong understanding of web services and REST APIs, with hands-on experience integrating these into SSIS packages.
Proficiency in error handling, trapping, and logging within SSIS.
Experience with database architecture and DB object creation/maintenance (DDL scripting).
Practical experience using PowerShell, especially for automation tasks related to Active Directory.
