Position: iSeries/AS400 Admin
Location: Issaquah, WA(1st day onsite )
Job Description:
• Coordinates OS version upgrades, software fixes, and preventative maintenance to minimize risk and service disruptions
• Performs installation, upgrade, configuration, deployment, and administration of iSeries/AS400 operating systems and hardware
• Resolves issues and implements projects at an advanced technical level regarding iSeries/DB2 as it is connected to by other Databases
• Works to ensure user satisfaction by providing installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolving complex problems
• Resolves availability, capacity, and performance issues
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency
• Acts as a liaison between internal and external user communities
• Collaborates with application support staff and DBAs to ensure external databases can connect to the DB2 database.
• Create Aldon audit reports as requested by the auditing team
• Collaborates with application support staff to perform Aldondeployments to non-production environments
• Perform iSeries technical support and expertise to resolve issues (e.g. printers, devices, backups, etc)
• Collaborate with different teams to analyze and resolve issues with the agents installed on the iSeries LPARs
• May act as team leader on projects
• Provides after-hours and weekend support as needed
• Create SOP’s as needed
