Description:
This role will work within a dynamic product team to advance a new product in the Coordination of Benefits (COB) space. The Product Manager will work with multidisciplinary stakeholders define product requirements, build the project plan and roadmap, create pitch decks, talk to customers, secure alpha/beta commitments, and regularly report out to leadership on status. Core responsibilities of this role include:
- Drive product vision and strategy
- Manage the whole product across the lifecycle using defined development process (Lifecycle Management)
- Know the market to effectively identify and frame new product opportunities (Ideate)
- Define solutions with high-value requirements, a compelling business case, clear product positioning, priority and strategic impact (Define)
- Partner with stakeholders to enable successful development and delivery of commercialized solutions (Build/Launch)
- Manage ongoing product performance, expansion, financial health, and roadmap
- Serve as the product champion and subject matter expert for business and functional partners
Key proficiencies
- Builds PoV in collaboration with technical leadership on leveraging specific emerging technologies to solve important market problems.
- Understands how the market trends relate to and inform opportunities specific to their product/service area. Can explain the competitive landscape and how their product/solution fits into it.
- Translates buyer needs and decision criteria into actionable plans.
- Tells the story of the product, both internally and externally; provides subject matter expertise; joins sales calls to offer expertise.
- Effectively presents product opportunities in senior leadership discussions / funding decisions.
- Proactively identifies needs/priorities of the audience and provides relevant information when sharing insights, including facts and explanation of decision-making criteria.
- Actively works across teams and products to find leverage opportunities or remove obstacles.
- Identifies and accesses relevant data to build a compelling business case in a self-directed manner.
- Partners with finance to complete the cost/benefit analysis and track forecasts to ensure the product is performing as expected.
Desired experience
- Preferable PI vendor experience would be from: Cotiviti, Performant, Gainwell (formerly HMS), Multiplan (formerly Discovery Health Partners), Rawlings, or CAQH.
- Preferable RCM experience would be from: Finthrive, Waystar, or pVerify.
