- Key Responsibilities: Provide expert-level support for JD Edwards World version 7 running on the AS400 platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to JDE World applications, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including backups, software updates, and patch management.
- Design, develop, and implement customizations within the JD Edwards World environment to meet business requirements.
- Write and modify RPG programs to enhance existing JD Edwards functionalities. o
- Develop and maintain interfaces between JDE World and other enterprise systems.
- Identify opportunities to optimize system performance and improve the efficiency of JD Edwards World applications.
- Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all system changes, configurations, and customizations.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices for system security, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to the strategic direction of the JD Edwards platform within the organization.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience working with AS400 systems.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with JD Edwards World version 7 (green screen) is required.
- Strong proficiency in RPG programming (RPG/400, RPG IV, ILE RPG) and CL (Control Language).
- In-depth knowledge of AS400 operating systems and tools.
- Experience with JD Edwards World software modules, including financials, distribution, and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with SQL and DB2 databases on the AS400 platform.
- Experience with integration tools and techniques for AS400 and JD Edwards systems.
- Relevant certifications in AS400, RPG, or JD Edwards World are a plus.
