· talked about the requirements and what they’re looking for
· SQL related questions, answered almost all of them, missed a couple bc in terms of performance related optimizations (thought track was diff than the interviewers)
· no scala questions because I haven’t worked with it in a while BUT they need Scala experience.
· Spark how was he using this at Walmart and current assignment
· only technical coding questions SQL & Spark
· Learned that data ventures team: trying to do some transformations for them. they handle diff types of data sources so they do the processing of the data that comes from diff sources, do manipulation depending on bizness req, put data into desired locations later
· Cloud based services being used, got insight into how this is being utilized
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· This role is looking for CODING (not scripting) in Python OR Scala
· Candidates must be fluent in SQL and Spark for this position.
· Strong in real time & batch pipelines in big data technologies (i.e., Spark/ Kafka/ Cassandra/ Hadoop/ Hive/ Elasticsearch)
· Proficient in RESTful Services, Java, Scala, Spring Boot/Play Framework, RDBMS, NoSQL, Python
· Proficient in development of scalable cloud native microservices
· Proficient with Designing and building APIs
· Azure and or GCP exposure and experience
