Position Name: System Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA (Remote) – Candidate must be comfortable supporting PST time zone.

Job Description / Job Summary:

  • Build datacenter software technologies and expertise to drive Samsung memory technologies and innovations for use in public and private clouds by leveraging the benefits of memory innovations.
  • As a key member of the Storage Software team, you will be responsible for designing and developing software for a state-of-the-art distributed storage system, with a focus on performance and quality.
  • The successful candidate must be a strong team player and have excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work on high-quality products under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, support, and maintain NVME-over Fabric (TCP/IP, RDMA/RoCE/IB_verbs) stack.
  • Experience working in Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK) and DPDK is needed. And more importantly work on IO stack performance optimizations and IO stack performance improvements.
  • Write, review, and maintain high-quality code in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct and submit to thorough code reviews to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Write and maintain unit test code alongside feature code to fully test code ensuring initial and future quality as features continue to evolve.

Qualifications and Requirements/Skill Sets:

  • BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 10+ years of experience developing enterprise software solutions in C/C++ on Linux.
  • Strong foundation in algorithms & data structures is required.
  • Experience working in network protocols (TCP/IP, RDMA/RoCE/IB_verbs) and storage protocols such as NVMe over Fabrics, iSCSI, FC, development experience with SCSI stack, multipath and interface driver development, distributed, scale-out, fault-tolerant applications over Ethernet or InfiniBand.
  • Expertise in network IO stack optimizations.
  • Knowledge of SAN and network file system protocols is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality products under tight deadlines.

Position Name: Protocols engineer.

  • Work with Software Architects and Product Management to design, implement, optimize, and enhance product features related to our implementation and use of various versions of the NFS protocol stack.
  • Write, review, and maintain high-quality code in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct and submit to thorough code reviews to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Write and maintain unit test code alongside feature code to fully test code ensuring initial and future quality as features continue to evolve.

Qualifications and Requirements/Skill Sets:

  • BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 10+ years of experience developing enterprise software solutions in C/C++ on Linux.

  • Experience working in network file system protocols (NFSv3, NFSv4.1) is required.
  • Deep understanding of the fundamentals of RPC, NFS, Kerberos and Name Services Protocols like DNS, LDAP, AD and NIS & expertise in file system protocols’ optimizations is desired. Experience with other NAS protocols like SMB, CIFS and S3 is desired.

Position Name: Maintenance and Support engineer.

Location: San Jose, CA (Remote) – Candidate must be comfortable supporting PST time zone.

Job Description / Job Summary:

  • Maintain and support datacenter software technologies and expertise to drive Samsung memory technologies and innovations for use in public and private clouds by leveraging the benefits of memory innovations.
  • As a key member of the Storage Software team, you will be responsible for maintaining software for a state-of-the-art distributed storage system.
  • The successful candidate must be a strong team player and have excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work on high-quality products under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the first line for defense in triaging the issues arising from QA and potential customers.
  • Work with QA, support, and customers in consultation with the development team to triage issues and provide necessary support needed on an immediate basis. Individual shall be highly motivated and ability to work with different teams with focus on resolving the issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Requirements/Skill Sets:

  • BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years of experience managing enterprise software solutions in C/C++ on Linux.
  • Experience working in distributed storage systems.
  • Good understanding and experience in network protocols (TCP/IP, RDMA/RoCE/IB_verbs) and storage protocols such as NVMe over Fabrics, iSCSI, FC, development experience with SCSI stack, multipath and interface driver development, distributed, scale-out, fault-tolerant applications over Ethernet or InfiniBand.

Location: San Jose, CA (Remote) – Candidate must be comfortable supporting PST time zone.

Job Description/Job Summary:

  • As a key member of the Storage Software testing team, you will be responsible for developing test and automation infrastructure for state-of-the-art distributed storage system, with a focus on quality. The successful candidate must be a strong team player and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive development test plans and strategies, including objectives, scope, and schedules.
  • Create detailed test cases and scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Execute test plans, record results, and analyze data to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Work with members of the engineering organization to automate and improve internal development and test workflows using DevOps best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements/Skill Sets:

  • BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years of experience developing enterprise software solutions in C/C++ on Linux
  • Strong foundation in algorithms & data structures is required.
  • Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience working on test automation tools and scripting languages such as python, etc. is a must.
