DETAILS :-

• Coordination of project activities associated with the design and implementation of business process,
legislative, and supporting information systems projects.
• Applying project management principles for the development and delivery of GTA business projects
• Facilitation and authoring of project determination documentation per Department of Management’s
Project Management and Oversight guidelines, business cases, scope definitions, and project charters
documentation
• Management of the scope, deliverables, risks, and issues for assigned projects
• Facilitation of gathering project requirements with business and information technology staff, business
process owners, business process subject matter experts, and/or key stakeholders as needed for
assigned projects.
• Engagement of other Departmental stakeholders as necessary throughout project closure
• Providing status reports to Program management and stakeholders
• Documentation of lessons learned and conduct project closure activities
• Minimum 5 Years of Information Technology Project Management experience
• Minimum 2 Years of experience working in an established Project Management Office (PMO)
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite to include Microsoft Project and/or project management
technology tools
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute
• Performing other related duties as required

 

Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field. Or
equivalent work experience. Preference will also be given to applicants with experience working with state
agencies and following Department of Management’s Project Management and Oversight guidelines.
3.2 Required Duties and Responsibilities of Consultant shall include but are not limited to:
The applicant(s) must have sufficient knowledge, understanding and experience with the Revenue
Accounting process and Motor Fuel Distribution within DOR. Other knowledge, skills and abilities desired
include:
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize Project Management Institute’s best practices for project management
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong analytical skills
• Skill in communicating effectively with internal and external customers, verbally and in writing.
• Skill in Microsoft Office applications including MS Project, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-passed environment and manage competing deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.

 

• Ability to use sound judgment to identify problems, generates and evaluates alternative solutions, and
makes recommendations.
• Ability to work well independently yet works cohesively within the section to maintain project timelines,

documentation, and relationships.
