Job Overview:
Seeking a creative and analytical Tableau UX Designer to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will specialize in designing intuitive and user-friendly Tableau dashboards that provide insightful data visualization solutions to meet our business needs. You will play a key role in understanding user experiences and translating them into impactful data visualizations that drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and implement innovative Tableau dashboards that deliver a seamless user experience.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
· Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
· Create wireframes, prototypes, and storyboards to demonstrate design concepts.
· Optimize the interactivity of Tableau dashboards through thoughtful design to enhance user engagement and understanding.
· Maintain consistency in visual elements and defining behavior such as how to display error or warning states.
· Develop and maintain documentation regarding style guidelines, design standards, and best practices.
· Educate and guide stakeholders on the utilization and interpretation of dashboards.
· Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and Tableau development.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong portfolio of design projects involving data visualization.
· Advanced proficiency in Tableau and understanding of Tableau’s capabilities and limitations.
· Familiarity with Tableau Server and publishing interactive dashboards.
· Experience with UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
· Knowledge of SQL and experience with database technologies.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
