Job Type: 10+ months Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain COBOL applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts and project teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications.
- Optimize and enhance system performance.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a COBOL Developer.
- Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
- Experience with mainframe environments and tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
