Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Oracle DBA with extensive experience in database administration, particularly in environments using Oracle and DB2. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a robust database infrastructure, which includes 100 DB2 databases (test/QA/production) and 25 in Disaster Recovery (DR), all running on AIX/Linux platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply patches and monitor Oracle and DB2 databases.
- Manage change processes and ensure database environments are stable and secure.
- Administer Oracle databases, including installation, upgrades/migrations, SQL tuning, and managing materialized views.
- Set up High Availability (HA) clusters and DR environments.
- Support DB2 databases with maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring and management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration.
- Strong proficiency in database installation, upgrading, and migration.
- Extensive experience with SQL tuning, patching, and setting up HA clusters and DR environments.
- Must have experience working in medium to large environments on AIX/Linux (not mainframe).
- Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) is essential.
