Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with over 10 years of experience to join our team in Austin, TX, for a contract position with eBay. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and a proven track record of leading Scrum teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a facilitator for Agile development teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
- Guide and coach the Scrum team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
- Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and manage the product backlog.
- Identify and remove impediments to ensure the team can focus on delivery.
- Monitor and report on team progress and performance using Agile metrics.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Work closely with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to ensure consistent application of Agile practices across teams.
- Ensure that the team follows the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and align deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments, preferably within the tech industry.
- Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required.
- Agile Methodologies: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Agile frameworks, especially Scrum and Kanban.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and impediments and skilled in facilitating resolution.
- Tools: Proficient in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
