Job Description-
Responsibilities:
– Data Modeling: Design and implement robust schemas (Star or equivalent) and other data models to support analytical and reporting requirements.
– Data Quality and Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data.
– End-to-End Data Management: Oversee the entire data lifecycle from ingestion, transformation, storage, to visualization, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
– Automation: Develop and implement automation strategies for data processing, ETL workflows, and reporting to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
– Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and collaborate with data engineers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure best practices in data management
– Technical Oversight: Maintain an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data architecture and incorporate them into the data strategy.
– Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, IT teams, and executives, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
– Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, data models, processes, and governance frameworks.
– Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Compliance: Ensure data architecture and practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
– Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management.
– Technical Skills:
– Proficiency in designing and implementing star schemas and other data models.
– Experience with data quality frameworks and governance practices.
– Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
– Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
– Knowledge of data warehouse platform like Snowflake or Redshift etc
