Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Administrator who is proficient in Azure DevOps to manage and optimize our PostgreSQL databases while supporting our DevOps processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, a deep understanding of PostgreSQL, and hands-on experience with Azure DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
PostgreSQL Database Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in a production environment.
- Monitor database performance and tune configurations to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery processes to safeguard data.
- Perform regular database health checks, including space management and query optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly.
Azure DevOps Integration:
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate PostgreSQL databases with Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Automate database deployment, configuration, and scaling using Azure DevOps tools.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines related to database changes.
- Ensure smooth and efficient deployment of database changes in alignment with release schedules.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand database requirements and provide support.
- Participate in the planning and execution of database migrations and upgrades.
- Provide technical guidance and support for database-related issues and best practices.
