VB .Net Developer Reverse Engineer|| Remote || No H1b
Candidate just needs to live on the East Coast.
.NET expert (likely a developer background) to contribute to a team that will use GenAI to investigate a legacy application that is written in VB/ASP/.NET.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contribute to analysis and understanding of existing front-end application
Dissect and analyze the functionality, structure, and logic of legacy systems
Conduct analysis of VB, ASP, and .NET codebases to decipher architecture, business logic, and data flow
Leverage tools to reengineer the source code and identify database calls
Manually investigate the screens, find embedded business logic as well as branching conditions and corner cases
Create documentation outlining structure, dependencies, and interactions within legacy application
Work with dev and engineering teams to provide insights based on reverse engineering findings
Validate GenAI outputs and provide insight based on source code and manual application investigation
QUALIFICATIONS:
Reverse engineering Visual Basic, ASP, and .NET front-end applications
Debugging tools, disassemblers, and de-compilers
Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and database structures
Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, collaboration
Technical writing (documentation)
