Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Lead to join our team for a long-term project at the Teachers Retirement Systems Agency. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of hands-on QA experience, with a proven track record of working with third-party vendors and leading offshore projects. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple QA teams and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic QA Leadership:
- Partner with the QA Director to architect, implement, and manage a comprehensive QA strategy for the investment data warehouse project.
- Set the strategic roadmap and develop QA processes and strategies.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to define and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Test Plan and Execution:
- Oversee the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential quality issues, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Drive defect management and resolution, ensuring timely closure of defects.
- Quality Metrics and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on QA metrics and KPIs to measure and improve quality.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud and enterprise technology transformation space.
- Expertise in testing SaaS applications and data warehousing systems.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure – Synapse Analytics; Apache PySpark; Spark Notebook.
- Experience working with reporting products such as Microsoft BI Suite, Power BI, Tableau.
- Experience in functional and regression testing of ETL – New, Migratory, Change and Report testing.
- Vendor and Team Management:
- Experience collaborating with third-party vendors, development teams, and systems integrators to deliver solutions.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of QA engineers.
- Analytical and Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with Developers, Product Managers, and Project Managers.
- Ability to switch between functional, automation, and manual testing as needed.
