Job description:
- F5 SMEF5 SME with some experience working with and implementing the newest version of F5 Load Balancers, Financial Industry experience is a must Seeking an experienced F5 Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining F5 Load Balancers
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the latest versions of F5 Load Balancer technologies and a proven track record of successfully deploying F5 solutions in complex enterprise environments
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect F5 Load Balancer solutions to meet the performance, scalability, and availability requirements of enterprise applications
- Implement, configure, and optimize F5 Load Balancers to ensure efficient traffic distribution and application delivery
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to F5 Load Balancer configurations, network connectivity, and application performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineers, system administrators, and application developers to integrate F5 solutions into existing infrastructure
- Stay up-to-date with the latest features, enhancements, and best practices in F5 Load Balancer technologies
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on F5 Load Balancer design, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new F5 products and technologies to enhance the organizations network infrastructure
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working with F5 Load Balancers in enterprise environments
- Proficiency in configuring and managing F5 BIG-IP LTM (Local Traffic Manager) and GTM (Global Traffic Manager) platforms
- Hands-on experience with F5 iRules scripting language for customizing traffic management and application delivery logic
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, and VPN technologies
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for F5 Load Balancer configuration management is a plus
- F5 certifications such as F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA) or F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CTS) are highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to work independently as we'll as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues
