Title – System Engineer
Location: Remote
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Systems Engineer or similar role in an enterprise environment
• Experience with building and operating various AWS services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, and IAM
• Experience with git-based source control systems (Github/Gitlab)
• Experience with assorted programming languages (Python) & scripting languages (Bash/Powershell)
• Handle support escalation for infrastructure issues
• Experience with ITSM (incident management, change management etc)
• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of cloud services and pricing models.
• Implement and manage cloud cost monitoring and reporting tools.
• Facilitate granular reporting to provide insights into cloud spend.
• Identify and implement cost optimization strategies and best practices.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cloud spend forecasts and budgets.
• Practical knowledge of data center operations, server hardware, telecommunications, network engineering, data-center applications, client/server computing.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux configuration management (Puppet, Ansible)
• Experience managing Active Directory domains and services (e.g. DHCP, DFS, GPO, DNS)
• Experience with IaC tools (puppet/ansible/terraform) in a cloud environment.
• Strong project management skills
