Job Description:   

Top Requirements:

•          5+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment

•          Expert level knowledge of Cisco Networking, core routing/switching and strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki in a branch (hub/spoke) deployment model, plus strong knowledge of Ruckus wireless technology

•          Advanced knowledge of Fortinet Firewall technologies

•          Must be a hands-on Network Engineer and must have configured switches router and firewalls

•          CCNA, CCNP preferred

Network Engineer to contribute to designing, building and supporting a next generation network. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in transforming/modernizing WAN, LAN, Voice and Wi-Fi networks with a focus on user experience. As a technical expert in your field, you will engage with business and technology associates to ensure the network meets the demands of the future.

Overview

•          Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining new and existing Networks and infrastructure.

•          Act as a member of the core engineering team with opportunities to advance in your career.

•          Networks Engineer duties and responsibilities:

o          Design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and

performance.

o          Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze network needs, and propose solutions.

o          Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches, Ruckus Access Points and Fortinet firewalls to optimize network performance and security.

o          Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

o          Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

o          Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure effective network management and support.

o          Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

o          Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices

and make recommendations for network improvements.

o          Provide technical support and guidance to junior network

engineers and other IT staff.

o          Participate in security management.

o          Use diagnostic tools to determine deficiencies.

o          Suggest and oversee improvement processes.

o          Attend webinars and conferences

 

Responsibilities:

•          Provide exceptional customer service.

•          Must document systems, processes, and procedures.

•          Communicate and demonstrate techniques while cross‐ training other employees on various applications and hardware.

•          Maintain clean work environment.

•          Procurement of network hardware and replacement devices

•          Track shipments and warranty service request

•          Consistently and accurately use the ticketing and Purchasing system to enter, track and close all client transactions

•          Maintain the privacy of all client data

 

Professional Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have the following experience and capabilities:

•          BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS,

for a related field

•          6+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar

role

•          Very good understanding and knowledge of networking

and application-level operations

•          Ability to quickly diagnose issues and suggest solutions.

•          Cisco and Fortinet Certification highly desirable

•          Experience with and knowledge of the Forti and Cisco IOS operating system

•          Experience with SD-WAN solutions

•          Experience in routing and switching with industry standards.

•          Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

•          Team player

•          Good time-management skills

•          Great interpersonal and communication skills
