Cloud Infra Engineer (Infra + backend + SRE)
Location : Detroit, MI (100% onsite, 5 days a week) (Only locals required)
Cloud Engineer Position Responsibilities.
- Design, deploy and monitor infrastructure in public clouds (AWS, Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service, Infrastructure as Code and related concepts on public cloud.
- Experience in the management and development of Terraform deploying infrastructure and applications to AWS and Azure.
- Designing, orchestrating, implementing, and supporting secure and scalable infrastructure using IaaS, PaaS, and on-premises platforms.
- Designing and supporting core AWS platform architectures, including:
o Organizations, Account Design, VPC, Subnet, segmentation strategies
o Backup and Disaster Recovery approach and design
o Environment and application automation
o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) automation approach/strategy.

- Network connectivity, Direct Connect and VPN
- AWS Cost Management and Optimization
- Assist in Creation and management of gold images / AMI’s.
o Development of infrastructure against AWS Services (terraform/AWS development)
o AWS Services (S3, glue, RedShift, EKS Clusters, Data lake, data dictionary tools)
o Terraform Cloud (manage existing and creating new modules, need to be able to create scripts from scratch in Terraform)
o Datadog Integration, Monitoring and Alerting on data platform.
o Experience supporting AWS environments and developers (production account/environment)
o Understanding for Building out CI/CD pipelines: Github Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus
o Python, HCL coding
o Building data warehouses
o Lambda development
o GitHub Administration, GitHub Actions
o Deep understanding of structured/unstructured databases(redshift, snowflake, etc)
o Understanding of load balancing, API’s, and Security
o Need to understand organizational architecture, cross account service setup, multi region and multi AZ
o Understanding KMS, DMS, and API GW technologies
o Cloud security tools
o SMS/SQS
o BASH PowerShell scripting
o EC2 Instances
o Secret manager / systems manager
o VS code
- Maintain availability of critical AWS Cloud infrastructure. To include configuration changes to AWS Cloud Services and shared services,
- Propose, develop, and support automation solutions for source code deployment and configuration management.
· Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
· Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
· Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.
- Configure multi-factor authentication on virtual and hardware devices.
· Follows company Change Management processes for the implementation of changes in the Production network environment.
· Resolves Help Desk tickets related to areas of assigned responsibility. Uses advanced problem analysis skills to isolate and identify user problems, including issues escalated from other team members.
